Chevrolet Caprice Model Years
Select The Year Of Your Vehicle Below
The Chevrolet Caprice was available in two distinct periods, starting with the civilian full-sized version sold between 1965 and 1996. The name returned for a 2011 through 2017 production run, but as a model designed specifically for police forces.
The consumer-oriented version could be purchased in either sedan or station wagon body types, and was powered by inline-six, V6, or V8 engines that teamed to manual or automatic transmissions. When the model was discontinued in 1996, it was replaced by the Chevrolet Lumina.
Over its lifetime, the consumer variant has come with such features as limited-slip differential, heavy-duty rear drum brakes, a revamped instrument panel, Camaro-inspired steering wheel, and a digital speedometer.
