The Buick Skyhawk was offered for the 1975 through 1989 model years, across two generations. Originally a two-door hatchback boasting rear-wheel drive, the second-generation Skyhawk switched to front-wheel drive and was available in two-door sedan, hatchback, four-door sedan, and station wagon bodies. Initially, the Buick Skyhawk featured a V6 engine that teamed to either manual or automatic transmissions, while second-generation models boasted inline-four powerplants that married to manual or automatic transmissions.

Near the end of its production run, the Buick Skyhawk came with such standard features as power windows, power adjustable driver's seat, air conditioning, power steering, and AM/FM stereo. Available options included 14-inch alloy wheels and rear defogger.
