2000s

The Buick Rainier first rolled out in 2004 as a mid-size SUV, and was available through the 2007 model year. Initially offered in CXL and CXL Plus trims, the SUV was limited to the CXL trim for the last three years of production. A V8 engine that matched to a four-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive was standard for all four model years, though owners had the option in 2007 of power being sourced through a 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine.

Standard amenities found on the Buick Rainier included 17-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlights, fog lights, and the OnStar telematics system from GM. Available options included satellite radio, A DVD system, and navigation.
