Genuine GM Lighting

There's all kinds of lighting for GM cars and trucks. Headlights are the commonest example; they have low beams for everyday driving and high beams for when it's very dark. They also function as hazard lights or "flashers," too, informing others that you need help or telling them there's danger nearby. Taillights and daytime running lights (DRLs) are also common. They indicate your position. Signal lights or "blinkers" indicate turns and lane changes, while brake lights show slows and stops. Depending on the GM model you drive, you may even have some other types of lighting. Fog lights, for instance, shine low with minimal glare to light the way in bad weather. Puddle lights, for another example, illuminate the area below your vehicle's doors, helping you and your passengers avoid rainwater when getting in and out. You may even have specialty lighting. Most often, it showcases a license plate frame, but it can light up other exterior accessories, too.

What Lighting Does My Car Need?

Most car lights are one of three types: halogen, Xenon (also known as high-intensity discharge or HID), or LED. The answer depends on your vehicle's make, model, and body style. When to change a car light bulb doesn't, though. You should replace Xenon bulbs every few years as they dim. You should replace LED bulbs, however, if their electronics fail or the lights themselves burn out. You should replace halogen bulbs about every two years. You can buy what you need from our auto parts store. We stock only genuine GM lighting, so it'll fit what you drive. Plus, you can order online.
