First, remove the interior trim pieces, seats, steering column, dash, pedal bracket assemblies, and electrical harness. If your fenders and hood are still in good shape, remove those as well. After recovering the freon and draining coolant, remove the A/C and heater hoses, as well as the HVAC assembly. Finally, disconnect the chassis and engine electrical harnesses from the damaged cab.

Once you're sure that everything from the cab's interior has been disconnected, remove the cab mounting bolts and roll the chassis out from under your hoisted cab. After you move the damaged cab from the hoist, put your replacement cab on and reverse the order of disassembly. Voila! Your new cab is secured, and you're all set!
